Economist Henrik Zeberg Predicts Big Change for Bitcoin Soon

Henrik Zeberg, a macro strategist, believes Bitcoin (BTC) is on the verge of a significant increase. He recently shared his insights in an interview on the Bloor Street Capital YouTube channel. Zeberg predicts that Bitcoin could rise by more than 64% from its current value by the third quarter of this year.

In January, Zeberg forecasted that Bitcoin could reach between $110,000 and $115,000, and he stands by this prediction. He expects a major upward move to start within days. On May 20th, Bitcoin made a notable move, which Zeberg believes was just the beginning. After a brief period of stability, he anticipates a significant upward trend to continue into mid-June. This uptrend may include some pullbacks and periods of consolidation.

By the third quarter, specifically between August and October, Zeberg aims to see Bitcoin surpass $105,000 and reach $110,000. He also expects the S&P 500 index to hit around 6,000. Once these levels are achieved, he will reassess the situation.

Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $70,090, showing a nearly 2% increase in the past 24 hours.

Additionally, Zeberg predicts a US economic recession before the end of 2024. He believes the recession could begin in the fourth quarter of this year, around October to December, with the stock market peaking about two months earlier. According to Zeberg, signs of weakness are already appearing in various markets, including Europe and Asia. He expects capital to shift from Europe and Asia into the US market.
